It was a mellow month for reading, but they were all good books. Here's some of my priority reads for February.

telemachus: i'm so excite- *looks ahead*

telemachus: *stops walking* oh no *sad noises*

odysseus: *still walking* what's wrong son?

telemachus: *points to the sea beyond ithaca's shores* poseidon must be angry today, look at the storm in the distance

odysseus: *looks ahead but without worry on his face* no need to worry, we can still go sailing, follow me

telemachus: *confused but follows his dad*

*both make it to the docks*

odysseus: you get started, i've just got something to do & then i'll join you on the ship

*telemachus hops on the ship and odysseus turns to face the sea*

odysseus: *red eyes activate* i'm. going. sailing. with . my. son.

*the sea storm dissipates in record speed*

odysseus: good.

odysseus: *red eyes deactivate*

odysseus: *turns to telemachus smiling like nothing happened* shall we go then?

telemachus: *happy but very confused*

telemachus: *mumbling to himself*what just happened?

Spideytorch au where Johnny thinks Spider-man is just fucking insane (but hes kinda into it)

One night after Spider-man had teamed up with the Fantastic Four, Johnny and him were cleaning up afterwards in an alley and Peter just crumpled to the ground as if in pain. Johnny, the empath he is, asks

'omg what's wrong? do you want me to get someone? do i call an-' "SHHHH. can't you just- like- cauterize the wound" '...huh'

Peter had gotten stabbed in the abdomen and when Torch put his hand on the wound to close it he stares into spideys eyes hoping he can actually do it at the same time his hand burst into flames. The next time they meet Spider-man is obviously in much better and apologizing profusely, but Johnny can't help but staring at his stomach and watch him during the fight (just to make sure he isn't hurt again - no other reason)

Meet my unicorn troll, Twig!

Twig is a young unicorn in his early teens who lives deep in the woods. Unlike most unicorns, he’s wild and untamed, preferring solitude and rarely speaking, even though he knows a bit of the language.

He has the magical ability to tame animals, but after being struck by lightning, his horn cracked, leaving his powers unpredictable. The lightning strike also triggered vitiligo, which is slowly turning his hair and skin white in patches.

Adventurous and always on the move, Twig often finds himself in scrapes with the local flora and fauna. His tail is still regrowing after a particularly nasty encounter with a thorn bush. Despite his wild nature, Twig has one undeniable weakness: sweets.

When berry season arrives, he's the reason all the ripest, juiciest berries mysteriously disappear.
